Picturing Scotland: Inverness
(Revised and Expanded edition)

Content: Following the introduction, which provides an overview of Inverness, a photographic tour of the city and surrounding countryside captures its moods and illustrates the principal landmarks and places of interest. In this new edition 16 extra pages allow the book's coverage to be expanded to include many new views. It now extends to the southern end of Loch Ness and contains more on the surrounding mountains, lochs and glens. The picture captions provide a running commentary. Most of the photographs were taken especially and are not published elsewhere. There are over 100 photographs, 40 of which are new to this revised and expanded edition.

Loch Ness from Dores River Ness from Castle

Market: This is an ideal book for those who love this Inverness and will open the eyes of those yet to discover this area. Very good value at just under £5, it also makes an ideal gift for friends and relatives and those who have family connections with Scotland. It is hoped that this book will be an encouragement for those who have never travelled to the area to make their own visit and discover some of the less well-known places it illustrates. It is especially hoped that this book will play a small part in providing a lasting memory for all those who return to their homeland as so many did during the Year of Homecoming (Homecoming Scotland 2009).
